Bourne Supremacy and El Cantante Previews

So I'm reading the NY Daily News while at work today and checking out what their movie critic Elizabeth Weitzman, has to say about this weekend's most anticipated movies, The Bourne Ultimatum and El Cantante. I figure if i'm going to shell out 10 bucks, possibly $20 if i take a date, i better do some research.

Weitzman, gives a great review to "The Bourne Ultimatum," starring Ben Afleck's best friend Matt Damon. The Ultimatum is supposed to be the final chapter to the Bourne trilogy. She describes the movie as a suspenseful thrill ride . ( "3rd time's a charm as Damon delivers thrilling Ultimatum").Weitzman rated the film 3.5 stars out of a possible 4.

Weitzman didn't have as much nice things to say about "El Cantante," the biography film about Puerto Rican Salsa musician Hector Lavoe. She claims that script is poor, and that "(the movie never provides any insight into the singer's motivations, onstage or off)." According to Weitzman Marc Anthony does a good job with what he's even with the poor script, excelling more during the performance sequences. However, she also claims that Jennifer Lopez outshines Anthony in many of the scenes they share together. Which is a credit to her acting.
Weitzman gives "El Cantante," 2 stars out of 4.
But don't take her word for it, go out there and see "El Cantante," and find out for yourself. And when you do, post your comments right here on http://www.entertainmentonfire.com/
We want to know what you think !
