Former B2K member Lil Fizz, is dropping a solo debut, entitled PayDay .
The new album will be released through Cudda Love's Fo' Reel Entertainment.
"I'm so excited and proud about this album," says Fizz. "Now I can be me. I'm with people who give me freedom and creative control."
"Beds," featuring Ray J, is the lead single off the album, on the track he raps. A video was shot in Beverly Hills recently and should be out soon.
The singer/rapper is is planning to hit fans with back-to-back summer anthems and the next will be "Car Wash."
"['Car Wash'] is about LA's car culture. On Friday and Saturday, it's a ritual for everyone to go and get their car washed and make it look sharp. It's like a party; it's crazy. The music is bumping, the cars are all shiny and everybody's flossin' on Slauson. 'Car Wash' is for everybody, but it's gonna really make Cali happy."
By 2004, B2K broke up and two of the members, Omarion and Lil Fizz, secured solo deals; yet because of label issues, Lil Fizz's Epic Records debut was put on hold. Despite the setback, Fizz said it helped him grow.
"I feel everything is learning process," he explains. "All of the issues I had with my Epic deal prepared me mentally, physically and spiritually for this album."
PayDay is scheduled to drop on July 17.
